Ruby?

I'm really fond of the programming language Ruby. It's a nice cross between, say, Smalltalk and Perl, with a hint of Python thrown in. I try not to evangelize it too much, but I will say: if you try it, I won't be surprised if you like it too.

Software

I've written tons of quick hacks using Ruby, but most of them aren't worth publishing. But maybe you'll find this useful:

• livejournal - Ruby classes for interacting with LiveJournal.
• c-repl simulates irb for C.

Enscript

To get syntax-highlighted enscript output for Ruby you'll need Ruby/Enscript, but the author, Mike Wilson, can't provide a download. So contact him if you want to get it, or download a potentially older (but worksforme) version directly from here: ruby-enscript.tar.gz [2.82KB].
